Assam Hills Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd. (AHSIDC Ltd.)
The Assam Hills Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd. (AHSIDC Ltd.), a Govt. of Assam Undertaking with its registered office at Manja Industrial Complex, Diphu, Karbi Anglong and was incorporated in the year 1968 under the Companies Act 1956 with an objective to set up Small Scale Industries in the Hill Districts of Assam to get benefit by the Local Tribal People.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
- To promote and assist, counsel & finance to SSI units.
- To set up own SSI in Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao (N C Hills) by the corporation.
- To create Entrepreneurial development and training etc.
- To act as an Agency for marketing of SSI products.
- To act as controlled stockiest of goods & store of any description in the Hills districts of Assam.
- Cultivation & Plantation etc..
- Infrastructure development of Small Scale Industries in Hill Areas.
DCHA, Assam allocates fund for various schemes implemented by AHSIDC Ltd and releases the same after getting the sanction from the Hill Areas Department.
The corporation basically produces and markets various agricultural products like pineapple, mango, orange, citronella grass, Lemon grass, turmeric, ginger, juices, spices, etc. Moreover, it has fruit preservation units and package drinking water, bottling units.
There are 4 (four) units of AHSIDC Ltd in KAAC and 2 (two) units in NCHAC.
